Welcome to Codex - a logic game where you have to guess a secret code chosen by another player. The game is known by a few names, such as Cows and Bulls, but you might know it as Mastermind - that game with the coloured plastic pegs.
Codex came about when two of our users (Breadmower and Bunnery) worked together, and took to having a Mastermind tournament at lunch (to prove who had the better logic skills*). Bunnery left the company for another job, and Breadmower put together the first version of Codex so that they could continue to play against each other online. After numerous small (and some large!) revisions, this is the third major version of Codex (or CDX3, as it's occasionally called), but the premise remains the same: create games, watch other players try to solve them, and compete to get the best average score for the week.
